According to reports, four million dollars are smuggling to Iran on daily basis from Herat.

Last week, Da Afghanistan Bank (DAB) announced offering $32 million to market in order to stabilize Afghani currency.

Months ago, DAB once said it is a temporary problem, terming external reason behind fluctuation in Afghan currency.

In July current year, lawmakers accused the Central Bank Governor of failing in keeping Afghani currency stable against foreign currencies, especially US dollar.

This comes as Afghani has been unprecedentedly failing in the recent weeks, reaching at its lowest level comparing to US dollars.

Unfortunately, the devolution of Afghani has affected prices of the essentials particularly foodstuff as most of the food items are imported.
