15 tons of drugs torched in Baghlan

KABUL: Counter Narcotics Police (CNP) on Sunday has torched 15 tons of narcotics seized from smugglers in northern Baghlan province.

The torched narcotics discovered and seized in the past one year, which were included opium, hashish, heroin, tablets of K and alcoholic beverages, said Baghlan Police Spokesman JawidBasharat in a statement.

Statement said that CNP has arrested 63 drug dealer suspects during different operation as well. 

The dossier of the arrested suspects sent to the relevant judicial organs for further inquiry.

CNP would exert utmost efforts to bust drug smuggler networks in the province, the statement added.
