KABUL: At least 20 people have died after two car crashes along Jalalabad highway, officials said on Friday.

The incident, which has happened because of reckless driving, has left at least 18 others injured.

At least 8 people including children and women died and 10 others were injured after a mini bus collided with a passenger car late Friday night in Qarghai district of Laghman province along Kabul-Jalalabad highway, spokesman to Laghman Governor Assadullah Dawlatzai told Afghanistan Times.

The second incident happened on Saturday morning when three passenger vehicles bumped into each other in Aziz Khan of Qarghai district. At least 12 passengers died and eight were injured in the crash.
