27 militants killed in Dasht-e-Archi district of Kunduz

AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: At least 27 Taliban militants have been killed in clearance of Afghan security forces in Dasht-e-Archi district of northern Kunduz province, said the provincial police chief.

Muhammad Qasim Jangalbagh told Azadi Radio that Afghan forces have conducted clearance operations against the Taliban militants in all districts of the province after retaking Dasht-e-Archi.

He added that around 27 Taliban insurgents have been killed in Dasht-e-Archi district, while five others wounded. “We are intended to completely weed out the Taliban militants from the district in order to provide people with a peaceful environment,” he said.  Jangalbagh said that there was no casualty to security troops and civilians in the operation.
