30 rebels killed in Kandahar night raid: Gen. Raziq

AT News Report-KABUL: The Afghan security forces have killed at least 30 armed militants during a night raid conducted in Maiwand district of Kandahar province, top security official said on Saturday.

The famous and young General of Afghanistan, Abdul Raziq said the operation was carried out in Sira Baghla area of the district. “The presence of militant had been seen widely in the area, and the brave security forces have casted them out,” he added.

General Razi said that 10 bases belonging to the militants were also destroyed during operation.

It is worth mentioning that Afghan security forces have intensified operation against Taliban insurgents after sign of attack form the rebel were increased. Security forces chasing them before the militants carried destructive activities.

At the same time, local officials confirmed injuries of two Afghan National Army soldiers as a result of mortar blast targeted their vehicle in Kandahar province. The blast occurred while they were patrolling.
