310-acre pistachio farm established in Farah

AT-KABUL: Ministry of Agriculture Irrigation and Livestock (MAIL) on Wednesday said it has established 310 acres pistachio garden in western Farah province.

MAIL though national horticulture program has established 310 acres pistachio garden in Shibkoh district of Farah province recently, said a statement issued by MAIL.

Statement said that as Farah has perfect climate for pistachio, thus establishing of pistachio gardening increased significantly in the province.

MAIL has plan to work more over pistachio garden in order to lead toward further improvement pistachio farms in the province, added statement.

By establishing more pistachio garden pistachio product will be increased and farmers will gain more money in Farah province, noted statement.

Statement elaborated MAIL besides establishing pistachio gardens help farmers with running training programs, technical workshop and establishing water networks in the province.

According to statement Haji Abdullah one of the farmers, who was helped by MAIL has established 15 aces pistachio garden.

Haji Abdullah, while appreciating MAIL for assistance of the farmers he said that I am happy for establishing of pistachio garden, said that his garden is in a better condition now.
