32 Taliban join peace process in Nangarhar

AT-KABUL: Thirty-two Taliban fighters along with three commanders surrender weapons and joined peace process in eastern Nangarhar province.

The surrendered insurgents were involved in subversive activities in districts of Goshta, Nazian  said a statement issued by Nangarhar provincial press office.

The insurgents severed their ties with Taliban fighters and joint peace process, statement added.

Statement said that the surrendered group confused that they were tasked by Pakistan to conduct terrorist activities and destroy clinics, schools and roads in Nangarhar.

The group joint peace process said that recently they recognized that Afghan government is an Islamic government and they martyr innocent people in the country, statement noted.

They also hand over their weapons to Afghan security forces in the province, mentioned the statement.
