34 Taliban militants killed in Faryab

AT-KABUL: Around 30 Taliban militants have been killed in northern Faryab province, said that National Directorate of Security (NDS).

The NDS in a statement issued here on Monday said that the operatives of the spy agency killed 30 militants, including two commanders of the Taliban, Abdullah and Rahmat, in Sherin Tagab district of the province.

“Ustad Ali and Ata Murad, masterminds of the Taliban’s suicide attacks in the province, have been killed along with their two comrades in separate operations in Dawlat Abad and Almar districts of the Faryab province,” it added.

The killed rebels were involved in subversive activities and were collecting zakat and usher from local people in the province.
