65 drug traffickers arrested

AT-KABUL: The Criminal Justice Task Forces (CJTF) on Tuesday said that 65 drug runners including four women were arrested in different operations in the past one month.

The Counter Narcotics Police (CNP) detained drug traffickers in different areas of Kabul, Herat, Uruzgan, Badakhshan, Kandahar, Helmand, Faryab, Balkh, Nangarhar, Kunduz and Farah provinces, a statement issued by the CJTF here said.

The statement added the detained traffickers were handed over the counter-narcotics court.

Around 70,041 kg of heroin, 743 kg morphine, 2278,906 kg opium and 250,066 kg hashish recovered and confiscated from the smugglers, the statement furthered.

This is worth mentioning that 52 drug traffickers were arrested past month and their cases are in the court.
