AT-KABUL:At least 69militants were killed and 39others wounded in multiple extensive military crackdowns within past days.
In a press release issued here, Ministry of Defense, (MoD) said that Afghan National Army (ANA) in collaboration with Afghan NationalPolice (ANP) and National Directorate of Security (NDS) personal has conducted joint operations against insurgents in different areasNangarhar, Laghman, Kapisa, Ghazni, Khost, Logar, Paktia, Kandahar, Urzgan, Zabul, Balkh, Takhar, Badakhshan, Faryab, Kunduz, Baghlan and Helmand provinces.
Statement said that in these operations 69 insurgents were killed and 39 others wounded.
One insurgent was arrested by Afghan forces during operations and handed over to judicial organs for further inquiry.
Afghan National and Defense Security forces shelled and bombed the enemies’ positions and sanctuaries by artilleries and air forces.
During these operations in the past 24 hours, 17 Taliban fighters were killed and 14 others wounded in Qala-e-Zal district of Kunduz, 14 terrorists were killed, seven wounded, two stronghold with 12 rifle of weapons, seven barrels of explosives belonged to the enemy were destroyed in Kaftarkhana, Chapa Khak, Yaklinka and Nachin areas in Urzgan, 11 militants were killed in Kohistanat district of Faryab, eight rebels were killed and eight others wounded in Waghez district of Ghazni, six insurgents were killed in Grishk district of Helmand province.
Similar, three insurgents were killed and seven others wounded in Khwaja Ghar district of Takhar, four militants were killed, two wounded and two stronghold of the enemy destroyed in Tushkan district of Badakhshan, three Taliban fighters were killed in Nahrin and Baghalanmarkazi district of Baghlan, one injured and another arrested in Alishing district of Laghman and one Daesh affiliates were killed in DehBala district of Nangarhar province.
In past 24 hours,11planed clearing operations,and 73 Special Forces operations conducted in different provinces; also, Air forces conducted 69 aerial operations supporting Afghan National army including10strikes on enemy’s sanctuaries.
ANA discovered and confiscated weapons and ammunition in the operations as well.
ANA as the nation’s defense forces are ready to give sacrifice to bring lasting peace and security to the people and are determined to eradicate terror groups in Afghanistan.
