A Daesh commander detained in Nangarhar

KABUL: A Daesh or so-called IS-K commander has been detained during operation carried out by the Afghan security forces in eastern Nangarhar province, official said on Monday.

The commander was arrested during a clearance operation conducted in Bati Kot district, said a statement issued by Nanagarhar Press Disk.

According to the statement, the commander was identified as Ibrahim, who was involved in many terrorist attacks and destructive activities in the province.

Some weapons and ammunitions were also discovered and confiscated during crackdown, the statement added.
