KABUL: The Second Deputy Prime Minister of the Taliban Islamic Movement says that the government is planning to pay the salaries of its employees to overcome the ongoing problems of the people.
Deputy Prime Minister, Abdul Salam Hanafi said that efforts are underway to launch development projects ahead of the upcoming winter. He cited the remarks at a gathering held at the ministry of finance.
Meanwhile, government officials said that some development projects, including the electric power lines, have resumed. The custom and revenue department would be active 24/week.
Hanafi called on the foreign countries to unfreeze Afghanistan’s assets, saying that the freezing of reserved budget is posing challenges to Afghans. According to him, the freeze of the Afghan budget is violation of international law.
“Afghanistan receives millions of dollars in transit, and the implementation of these projects will benefit Afghanistan,” he added.
