Afghan, U.S. advisors confer on counter-terrorism efforts

AT-KABUL: National Security Advisor Haneef Atmar and his U.S. counterpart John Robert Bolton in a video conference late Tuesday evening discussed security and political situation in Afghanistan and the broader region. Both sides emphasized on improvement and continuation of mutual commitments and maintenance of bilateral relations.

They also discussed Afghan led peace process and counter terrorism efforts, who also exchanged views on regional countries’ cooperation in counter terrorism efforts. Both sides discussed various aspects, implementation and results of the U.S. strategy for Afghanistan and South Asia.

The two sides also discussed U.S.-Afghanistan Bilateral Compact Implementation, developments and took needed decisions for a better execution of the related affairs.
