Afghanistan records 112 new cases of covid-19

KABUL: With 112 new positive cases in the last 24 hours, Afghanistan now officially has 35,727 coronavirus cases across the country. The Ministry of Public Health on Wednesday said that out of 377 suspected samples, 112 were reported positive.

According to the ministry, 43 positive cases were recorded in Kabul, 32 in Herat, 20 in Ghor, seven in Ghazni, five in Laghman, three in Badghis, one case each in Nangarhar and Kunar provinces.

Four patients have lost their lives battling the virus, and 168 others recovered within the past 24 hours.

The total recoveries have reached 23,907 and the deaths to 1,190 across the country.
