Afghanistan reports 22 COVID-19 cases

KABUL: Afghanistan has recorded 22 new coronavirus positive cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the total tally to 38,919 across the country.

The Public Health Ministry said that out of 95 suspected samples, 22 of them were reported positive – 17 cases were recorded in Balkh, three in Nangarhar and two others in Kunar provinces.

No patient has lost his life during this period, the ministry said.

The total recovers exceeded to 32,576 and the deaths to 1,437 since the outbreak of the virus started in the country around seven months ago.
