Afghanistan sends first batch of police officers to Russia for training

AT-KABUL: Ministry of Interior on Sunday said it has sent 20 police officersto Russia to undergo professional training, as part of an ongoing capacity-building programme for police.

As many as 20 policemen from different segments have gone to Russia for professional trainings in the wake of a professionalism process in police crews, said a statement issued by MoI.

Statement said that police officers were selected through a competition exam.

The mentioned officers will continue their education till master degree for six years in a high standard military academy in Gorgon city of Russia, noted the statement.

The MoI urged the student to beside following lessons, obey laws and discipline of the hosted country.
