Afghanistan shares achievements with EU prior to Brussels meeting

AT-KABUL: Finance Minister Eklil Hakimi on Tuesday met with the European Union ambassador to Kabul Franz-Michael Mellbin in Kabul, talking about the upcoming Brussels Conference on Afghanistan.

Hakimi shared the details of progressions made by the government for preparations of the conference, including Afghanistan National Peace and Development Framework, national priority programs, and the commitments under the Self-Reliance through Mutual Accountability Framework.

Ambassador Mellbin welcomed the progress to date and shared updates from the European Union.

The Brussels Conference on Afghanistan is to be held on October 4 and 5 with the international community to renew their commitments for Afghanistan.
