Airstrike killed 17 Daesh in Nangarhar

AT-KABUL: At least 17 fighters loyal to Daesh killed in an airstrike in eastern Nangarhar province, said officials Sunday.

“Afghan airstrike targeted Daesh fighters in Achin district, killing 17 fighters in Nangarhar province,” said Provincial Governor Spokesman Atullah Khogiani.

He said that based on report all the killed fighters were foreigners.

No casualty incurred to civilians in the operation in the district.

The Daesh terrorist group has some sporadic activities in Nangarhar’s district of Hesarak, killing innocent civilians and destroying their assets.
