AT News Report-A blast as a result of Improvised Explosive Device (IED) have killed five civilians who were attending a wedding party in Afghanistan’s central Logar province—a tool the insurgent groups use against Afghan and foreign forces that unfortunately almost leads to civilian casualty.
The provincial police chief spokesman, Shahpoor Ahmadzai, said Saturday that seven other civilians were wounded in the attack took place late Friday in Mohammad Agah district of the province.
The death toll was confirmed by Mohammad Naser Ghairat, a provincial council member, and said the bomb was planted near a house where the weeding was taken place.
According to him, the target was civilian’s participating the weeding.
Both the groom and bride were not hurt in the incident that so far there is no immediate claim of responsibility for it.
