By Farhad Naibkhel-KABUL: The situation of business is worsening in the capital Kabul as well as the northern province of Balkh, says a survey launched by the chamber of commerce and industries.
The survey covered 600 businessmen to monitor the situation of commerce, products, employment and construction trend in Kabul, Balkh, Kandahar, Herat and Nangarhar provinces in the past three months.
“The finding demonstrated that business situation had a descend trend in the past three months in Kabul and Balkh provinces as compared survey,” said the chamber’s Chief Executive Officer Attiqullah Nasrat.
He said that business trend had declined from nine to twenty in Kabul.
Nasrat called insecurity, corruption, complicated tax law, lack of access to infrastructure and loan facilities as the main factors behind the decrease.
Fortunately, the survey shows progress in Kandahar, Nangarhar and Herat provinces, he claimed.
He stated that entrepreneurs were optimism for betterment of business in different element.
He said that business trend get better in mentioned three provinces and move slowly toward improvement.
This survey beside commerce, product, employment and construction will cover agriculture trend in the mentioned provinces.
The chamber would reportedly struggle to expand survey to other provinces in future.
