Commander, two Pakistani IS terrorists held in Nangarhar

AT-KABUL: The National Directorate of Security (NDS) arrested a commander along with two Pakistani members of the Islamic State (IS), when trying to enter Afghanistan through Torkham gate.

The NDS in a press statement issued on Monday said that their operatives arrested an IS commander named Hayatullah, known as Mansoor, along with two Pakistani members of the militant group. In a video clip sent to media outlets, the arrested men have confessed that they were members of the deadly terrorist group. One of the Pakistani members of the group said that he has joined the IS through internet websites.

The statement said, the NDS operatives have also destroyed a hideout of the Taliban militants in southern Helmand province. It added that the hideout belonged to fighters of Abdul Jabar, a Taliban commander. Security forces also recovered several bombs from the hideout.
