KABUL: Afghanistan has recorded 81 new positive cases of coronavirus and four fatalities in the past 24 hours throughout the country, said the Ministry of Public Health on Sunday.

The total tally since the outbreak of the epidemic has now reached to 54,062 cases across the country.

The new cases come positive out of 1,584 suspected samples tested in the past 24 hours.

Another 403 patients have fully recovered during the same period of time.

The total recoveries have exceeded to 45,868 and the deaths now stands to 2,343 around the country since the start of the virus.
