AT News Report-KABUL: A notorious commander of Islamic State (IS), also known as Daesh terrorist group and five other militants of the group have been killed in air raids carried out by the Afghan Air Force in eastern Nangarhar province, a security official said on Saturday.
A statement issued by the 201st Selab Military Corps, said successful airstrikes were carried out in Nazyan and Ghani Khel areas of the province where a notorious commander, identified as Syed Wali and two other militants have been killed in Nazyan on Friday, adding three other insurgents of the group were killed in Ghani khel on the same day.
The statement added the operation was concluded with zero casualties on the part of civilians.
However, Daesh, active in areas, bordering Durand Line where they (Daesh militants) have been continuously getting oxygen and support from Pakistani side has yet to comment into the matter.
