Defence brass says ready to secure district council vote

AT News Report-KABUL: The top security officials said that they would be able to provide security of the parliamentarian and district councils’ elections.

In a meeting held chaired by the national security adviser, security officials said that clearance operations would be launched ahead of the elections. Also the national security adviser, Haneef Atmar instructed security officials for better security during the elections.

He praised the security forces for their activities, asking the officials to jointly assess voting centres for ensuring security. Atmar also asked the security officials to draw a comprehensive plan of the elections security and present it to the security council for further assessment.
