KABUL: At least three civilians embraced martyrdom and 19 others received injures on Saturday morning after twin blasts ripped Jalalabad, the capital city of eastern Nangarhar province, said officials.
“Two roadside mines placed by the enemy went off in 4th PD of Jalababad city, in which at least three civilians, including a woman and a young girl have been martyred,” Nangarhar Governor Spokesman Attaullah Khogyani’s told Afghanistan Times.
19 others among them 11 civilians and eight military personnel are among those wounded in the terror incidents, the spokesman added. “Four women and two children are also among wounded people,” Khogyani added.
He put health condition of two inured people critical.
According to him, the target of the blasts has yet to be cleared, but the security forces have started investigation over its nature.
No terrorist groups, including Daesh that emerged in Nangarhar since 2015, have took immediate responsibility.
The Daesh terrorists are the most brutally insurrection movement where they conducted several deadly attacks in Afghanistan, even did not spare mosques, shrines, restaurants and other civilian places to kill ordinary Afghans.
