Egypt ready to help Afghanistan in preventing extremism
AT-KABUL: Egypt is ready to cooperate with Afghanistan in preventing of extremism, Egyptian Ambassador to Kabul stated.
In a meeting with Afghan Security Advisor, Hanif Atmar in Kabul, Hani Salah would also help Afghan government in the higher education, Islamic education and fight against terrorism.
Salah assured Atmar of Cairo’s support of the Afghan-led peace process, the National Security Council said Wednesday.
The two sides discussed the current violence and extremism, exchanging viewpoints for the prevention of this unpleasant phenomenon.
Atmar called Egypt’s role important in fighting terrorism and preventing the expansion of extremism and praised its preparedness to help Afghan government and people. He also thanked Egypt government for providing opportunity for the Afghan students to continue their higher education.
