KABUL: Presidential Candidate, Abdullah Abdullah rejected statement by the independent election commission over announcing the preliminary results of presidential elections soon, saying the announcement would be unacceptable for him. He also warned that his supporters would not incurious.
The independent election commission said Tuesday that they would announce the preliminary results soon after the resolve of a couple of technical problems.
“The secretariat handed its report to the leadership of commission and the leadership asked them to solve one or two technical problems to announce the preliminary results,” said Zabi Sadat, a spokesman of the commission, but offered no details on the “one or two technical” problems.
Sadat assured that the commission was fully ready to announce the preliminary results and would do it soon after receiving report from secretariat.
Abdullah said Wednesday that the result announcement would be unacceptable for him until his “legal” demands are not met by the commission.
He warned that his supporters would not sit indifferent after the announcement.
The commission is still fighting problems to announce the preliminary results of the September 28th presidential elections.
Abdullah demands for the revoke of some 300,000 polls which he believes are fraudulent.
