Fierce western highway clash; 41 militants, 22 Afghan soldiers killed

AT-KABUL: At least 41 Taliban fighters were killed and 22 others wounded in clashes Between Nimroz Farah highway in past 24 hours. During the clashes 22 army soldiers were also martyred.

“During clashes in the past 24 hours in Delarm Nimroz highway 41 Taliban fighters were killed and 22 others wounded,” said Spokesman for Ministry of Defense General Dawlat Waziri.

He said that three dead bodies of enemy left in the battle site.

Unfortunately 22 army soldiers were also martyred and five other wounded during clashes in the area, he added.

Additional forces reached and the enemy threats rebuffed in the area, he underlined.
