KABUL: Nine security personnel have been killed and five others receive injures after the Taliban fighters attack their security forces check-post in western Ghor province, an official said.

Mirajan Ahmad, head of the provincial civil hospital, said nine bodies of security forces and five injured had been shifted to the hospital, Pajhowk Afghan News reported.

Governor spokesman Abdul Hai Khatebi said the Taliban attack important check-post on the outskirts of the Ferozkoh City.

He said security forces suffered casualties in the attack but did not provide the exact details.

Provincial Council Member Abdul Basir Qaderi confirmed to Pajhwok the Taliban attack on security forces check-point situated 30-kilometre from Ferozkoh, the provincial capital.

He said four security personnel were killed and two tanks burnet in the attack.

Fighting has been intensified between Afghan security forces and the Taliban fighters while Afghan and US officials plus Taliban negotiation members are meeting over peace. Several round of talks held between US and Taliban members in Qatar, but did not stop or at least decrease fighting.

Moreover, the second intra-Afghan talks after Moscow, was set to be held on Doha, but revoked after Taliban and Qatari government opposed the fat 250-member of Afghan delegations. No clue when peace talks to be held, but many officials said next round of talks to be held soon.
