AT-KABUL: Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development has earmarked Afs 103 million to loan and deposit unions in a bid to boost up industrial and economic development in domestic areas.

MoRRD has allocated over 100 million Afghanis to 337 loan and deposit unions in Herat, Nangarhar, Balkh, Bamyan and Parwan provinces.

According to a statement, Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development Mujeeb-U-Rahman Karimi addressing a press conference on Tuesday said that allocating and helping domestic dwellers through simple accessing to financial resources is aimed to motivate them for further economic and production activities in rural areas.

He said that this allocation will create job opportunity to 4105 persons directly and to 12317 persons indirectly.

Through mentioned contribution job opportunity will be created in industrial, food process, agriculture, livestock, carpet weaving shop keeping fields in rural areas, he added.

Since start of Rural Industry Development National Program over 248 million afs has donated as loan and deposit to 469 unions , which via job opportunities have been created to 7390 persons including male and female directly and 22174 persons indirectly in rural areas.
