Helmand blast leaves five children dead

LASHKARGAH: Five children were killed when the unexploded rocket they were playing with went-off in  Nadi Ali district in southern Helmand province, an official said on Thursday.

Omar Jan Haqmal, district police chief, said the children ages under 10 were playing with rocket when it exploded with heavy blast.

The children belonged to different families of the same neighborhood, he added.

Abdul Halima, a resident of the locality, said as many as ten children had been killed in the blast. (PAN)
