AT-KABUL: The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Abdullah Abdullah said that the anti-Afghanistan forces could not succeed in achieving their ends while using terrorism as a mean.
Addressing a mourning ceremony on the Ashura day, Abdullah said 10th Muharam is reminiscent of the greatest ever lesson to stand for justice and oppose tyranny. “This day also serves as a wakeup call for officials to fulfill their responsibilities,” he said. Abdullah added the enemies would not succeed in reaching their evil goals.
He added that still in Afghanistan innocent people are being killed. “Forces of darkness and brutality under the names of Daesh, Taliban and al-Qaeda kill innocent people,” he said, adding that Afghan security forces are currently fighting against the militants in Helmand province to ensure safety of the citizens. Abdullah said that security forces are ready to render sacrifices; however, the government should also pay attention to resolve the challenges faced by Afghan troops.
He urged people of Afghanistan to get united against the conspiracies hatched by the anti-state elements.
Abdullah said that Afghanistan don’t want to be hostile towards others. “We have extended the hand of friendship, but we are yet to get any response,” he added.
He said that the enemies of the people of Afghanistan should know that Afghans are capable of fighting against their conspiracies. “The enemies of Afghanistan should know that by promoting, supporting and equipping terrorists they cannot achieve their evil goals,” he added.
