Kabul districts get new chiefs

AT-KABUL: The Ministry of Interior has appointed new police chiefs at all police districts of Kabul.

Kabul Police Chief, Abdur Rahman Rahimi, said that following the procedure the new chiefs were assigned for all 16 police districts and different security regiments in Kabul.

Speaking at a press conference, the Kabul police chief directed the newly appointed chiefs to work hard for further security improvement and better cooperation with people.

Regarding the spring offensive of the Taliban, he said that they were ready to foil terror bids and keep security tight.

The police chief also claimed arrest 110 crimes suspects in the past two weeks. He said that dossiers of all arrested people were provided to the relevant judicial body for prosecution.

Kabul police also seized 127 assault rifles and two mortars in different districts of Kabul, he added.
