AT-KABUL: Ex-President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai and Chief of the Awami National Party (ANP) Asfandyar Wali Khan strongly condemned the terror attack on Bacha Khan University in Charsadda (BKUC) on Wednesday.

In a telephonic conversation, both Hamid Karzai and Asfandyar Wali Khan termed attack on the university an attack on the philosophy of nonviolence.

Expressing grief over the blood bath in the BKUC, which is named after great nationalist who always believed in nonviolence and universal brotherhood, the two leaders said that the attack was carried out by those elements who do not believe in nonviolence.

They furthered that through such attacks the enemies of Afghans wanted to depict Pashtun as wild people, adding that it was an attack on education too. The enemies do not want to see Afghans educated, and want to attack identity of Pashtuns, they said.
