Karzai grieves over Monday’s earthquake

AT-KABUL: Ex-President Hamid Karzai expressed his deep sorrow over loss of precious lives and property in Monday’s earthquake in Afghanistan.

A powerful earthquake struck Afghanistan the other day killing 115 people wounded around 538 others. The earthquake also destroyed 7630 houses, scores of schools, mosques and office buildings.

Hamid Karzai extended his condolences to the bereaved families. He urged welfare organizations and national traders to provide humanitarian aid to the affected people.
