Karzai hails Uzbekistan efforts for Afghan peace push

KABUL: Former President Hamid Karzai on Sunday met with the visiting Uzbek delegation, led by Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov, where they discussed in detail progress made in the Afghan peace process and future steps in regards.

Ustad Mohammad Mohaqiq, Haji Din Mohammad, Uzbek’s Special Representative for Afghanistan Ismatullah Irgashev and Uzbekistan ambassador to Afghanistan were present in the meeting.

Moreover, former President Hamid Karzai thanked Uzbekistan’s efforts for peace and development of Afghanistan, emphasizing over importance of cultural and civilian relations between the two countries.
