Karzai meets Modi in Delhi, discusses peace process

KABUL: Former President, Hamid Karzai on met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to New Delhi.

The two sides discussed the Afghan peace process and expanding and strengthening of bilateral relations.

The former president thanked Indian people and government for assisting Afghan people.

India is one of great contributors in Afghanistan reconstruction. New Delhi has so far implemented major projects like the Salma hydropower dam and a new building for parliament.

Thousands of Afghan students have been provided with scholarships in Indian universities.
