AT News Report-KABUL: A kidnapped teenager was rescued from abductors during operation in northern Faryab province, said officials.

A 16-year-old teen was rescued and his kidnaper was arrested in Faryab province, said a press statement issued by Faryab Police public outreach.

Taj Mohammad was kidnapped from near his house in 3r district in the city of Maimana at around 10:30pm. But, shortly after police was informed, law enforcement cops immediately reacted. Police engaged in a nearly half an hour clash with the kidnapers and rescued Taj Mohammad.

The police also arrested a kidnaper in Afghan Kot in 5thdistrict of the city. The kidnaper, Haseebullah,confessedin the primary investigations, said the statement.
