Logar police HQ attack: 14 policemen held for dereliction

AT News Report-KABUL: At least 14 policemen have been detained in connection with a terrorist attack on Logar police headquarters, said a security official in the province.

Logar police chief, Abdul Hakim Ishaqzai, confirmed their arrest and said that the 14 policemen have been arrested on suspicion of negligence in duty.

Four suicide bombers launched a coordinated attack on police headquarters in Logar province, killing 23 people including 15 policemen and eight civilians.

However, Ishaqzai had previously suspected insiders’ involvement in the terror attack. “Such a well coordinated attack on the police headquarters was not possible without the support of insiders,” he told some media outlets last week.
