Mob beats three over adultery in Kabul

AT-KABUL: A group of angry people in the Dasht-e-Barchi neighborhood in the western part of Kabul city beat two men and a woman over alleged adultery, setting their car on fire, police said Sunday.

The incident took place in the main road of Dasht-e-Barchi area where local residents claimed that they caught two men and a woman being busy in adultery.

Mohammad Ali Nawroozi, chief of criminals of the 13th police district, told media that furious local people beat the owner of the car after realizing that they were engaged in adulatory act inside the car.

Local residents said that the driver was under observation of irate people when he came to the area. Local people claimed that they caught them red handed in immoral act.

Nawroozi furthered that investigation is underway where so far five people were detained in the connection of the incident.
