Muslimyar in Saudi to discuss peace talks

AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: The Meshrano Jirga chairman on Monday called on Speaker of Saudi Shura Council Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Sheikh, discussing several issues, including Afghan peace process and upcoming Ulema conference.

Ziaur Rahman, spokesman for the Meshrano Jirga, told Pajhwok Afghan News that Muslimyar was currently in the oil-rich country in response to an invitation from the Saudi government.

During the meeting, both sides discussed the Afghan peace process and an upcoming ulema conference. Muslimyar stressed ties between the two countries’ councils should be strengthened.

Fazil Hadi Muslimyar is currently leading a delegation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, ways of enhancing bilateral relations, especially parliamentary links, came up for discussion at the meeting.
