Nation extremely needs tolerance, harmony:  Ashraf Ghani

AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani in his message issued on the 10th anniversary of deadliest terrorist attack in Baghlan, said Afghanistan direly deserved harmony and tolerance in the current situations.

“Ten years back a number of public representatives, including Syed Mustafa Kazemi, former head of Hezb-i-Eqtedar Milli, and other lawmakers martyred in a terrorist attack in Baghlan who traveled to observe the expansion and rehabilitation of the country’s industry,” the president said while paying tributes to the souls of martyrs.

Ghani hailed patriotic efforts of public representatives for the revival of industry and economy of the country.

He said Kazemi was widespread popular figure who played effective role during Jihad and on other occasions. He stood behind his people during the period of Jihad and resistance against the Russian occupation.

Ghani appreciated Kazemi role in Wolesi Jirga and said he owned a different thinking and by creating parliamentary group from different ethnic personalities he led by example and moved ahead of politics of ethnicity, tribe and party and become new political figure in the lower house.

Syed Mustafa Kazemi, head of the Wolesi Jirga Economic Commission and five other lawmakers that include: Mohammad Arif Zareef, Nazak Mir Sarfaraz, Haji Abdul Matin, Sahib Rahman and Sebghatullah Zaki were lost their precious lives in a deadliest terrorist attack in Baghlan province 10 years back.
