21 uplift projects executed in Ghor, Khost

KABUL: The National Solidarity Program of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (NSP/MRRD) recently completed 21 development projects in Ghor and Khost provinces.
Talking to Afghanistan Times, the Communication Officer of the NSP, Muhammad Jawad Hydari said here on Sunday that the projects were implemented looking into the demands of the residents of Ghor and Khost.
He said that it will enable a number of families to get access to basic facilities.
“The 11 projects implemented in Cheghcharan and Lal-wa-Sarjangal districts of Ghor included construction of retaining walls, six culverts, canals and graveling of some rural roads and the projects were completed at total cost of 120,007,000 Afs which will benefit some 1144 families,” he added.
Hydari further said that eight projects were completed in Maton district of Khost at total cost of 5,393,473 Afs which included construction of two social centers, retaining walls five culverts, 200 meters long canal, a water reservoir, drilling of wells along with installation of hand pumps as well as grading ad graveling of rural roads. This is worth mentioning that the project will benefit 1,727 families.
He said that hundreds of other MRRD/NSP development projects in various communities of Ghor and Khost provinces were currently under way.
