Security on high alert for Eid

KABUL: Ministry of Interior (MoI) chalked out a comprehensive security plan for Eid-ul-Fitar and put security on high alert in all provinces, to avoid any untoward situation.
Talking to media-persons, spokesman of MoI, Sediq Sediqi on Saturday told that in order to ensure security during Eid-ul-Fitar, the ministry has planned to increase patrolling, check-posts in different parts of the main cities as well as deployment of security forces.
He said that selling of firecrackers to children are illegal which created several problems including risk for their (children) lives. Shopkeepers who sold firecrackers to children would face stern action, he warned.
He told that police would make sure that lives and properties of the public were safe. However, people should also cooperate with the security agencies, while informing them about any suspected person or thing, on time.
