Weapons seized in Kabul

KABUL: Police discovered and confiscated a large cache of munitions during a search operation that carried out in Khak-e-Jabar and Mosahi districts of Kabul province.
Head of Public Relation Department of Kabul Police Headquarter, Hashmatullah Stanekzai said that two rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs), eight BM12 bullets, one 82mm cannon bullet and one tank bullet and some other types of weapons were seized by Kabul police in a search operation.
However, no arrest has been made and the operation was underway, he added.
“The confiscated ammunitions belonged to Taliban, which they wanted to use in terrorist activities in Kabul city,” he said, while adding that police forces by seizing the said ammunitions managed to prevent terror attacks from taking place.
