NSA flies to UAE ahead of quadrilateral meeting
AT-KABUL: At the head of a top delegation, National Security Advisor Mohammad Haneef Atmar arrived today to Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates, said NSA office in a statement.
During the official visit, the National Security Advisor will participate in a quadrilateral session of Afghanistan, U.S., Saudi Arabia, and United Arab Emirates. National security advisorsof the aforementioned four states as part of a quadrilateral cooperation mechanism met for the first time in the United States in March this year.
This summit in Abu Dhabi is a follow-up to the recent meetings and discussions vis-à-vis extending cooperation in the fight against terrorism and the peace process.
The quadrilateral cooperation mechanism is slated to officially start on Tuesday.
