KABUL: At least75militants were killed and28others woundedinmultiple extensive military crackdownswithin past 24 hours.
In a press release issued here, Ministry of Defense, (MoD) said that Afghan NationalArmy (ANA) in collaboration with Afghan NationalPolice (ANP) and National Directorate of Security (NDS) personal has conducted joint operations against insurgents in different areasof Nangarhar, Laghman, Kunar, Kapisa, Paktia, Khost, Ghazni, Uruzgan, Zabul, Badghis, Faryab, Nimroz, Kunduz and Helmand provinces.
Statement said that in these operations75insurgentswere killed and 28others wounded.
Afghan forces arrested three suspects and handed over them to judicial organs for further inquiry.
Afghan National and Defense Security forces shelled and bombed the enemies’ positions and sanctuaries by artilleries and air forces.
During these operations in the past 24 hours, 12 Taliban insurgents were killed and six others wounded in Imam Sahib district of Kunduz, 12 Daesh fighters were killed in Achin district of Nangarhar, 11 militants were killed in Dahan-e-Ghori and Baghlan Markazi district of Baghlan, nine rebels were killed in Khwaja Sabzposh district of Faryab, eight militants were killed and 13 others wounded in Arghandab district of Zabul, seven insurgents were killed in Jawand district of Badghis province.
Similar, five militants were killed in Marja district of Helmand, four insurgents were killed and eight others wounded in Jaghori and Waghez district of Ghazni, four rebels were killed, four ammunition cache, three strongholds and a vehicle of the enemy destroyed in Orgun district of Paktika and Kharwar district of Logar, two insurgents were killed in center of Uruzgan, one Daesh fighter was killed another wounded in Dra Pich district of Kunar, three militants were killed in Alishing district of Laghman province.
In past 24 hours, eightplaned clearing operations,and 96Special Forcesoperations conducted in different provinces; also, Air forces conducted113aerial operations supporting Afghan National army including14 strikes on enemy’s sanctuaries.
ANAdiscovered and confiscated weapons and ammunition in the operations as well.
ANA as the nation’s defense forces are ready to give sacrifice to bring lasting peace and security to the people and are determined to eradicate terror groups in Afghanistan.
