Poultry farm established in Khost
AT-KABUL: Ministry of Agriculture Irrigation and Livestock (MAIL) in a joint venture with Comprehensive Agricultural and Rural Development Facility (CARD-F), on Tuesday said it has established poultry farm with capacity of 10,000 hens in southern Khost province.
A press statement issued by the MAIL, said the farm has capacity of production of 10,000 hens in one round with totally cost of $290,000, which 50 percent of the amount would be granted by CARD-F program.
It is a modern farm smoothing the progress of feeding and growing of the hens, the statement added, putting up-to-date machineries as another facility of it.
By establishing the farm, enough eggs and chicken would be produced in daily basis that would also help to send eggs and hens to other farms in the neighboring provinces.
The CARD-F staffers would regularly go and check the farm in a bid to amenities it on betterment of the farm, the statement added.
