AT-KABUL: A number of senators delivered the package of Loya Jirga suggestion to President Ashraf Ghani, a demand to solve the current problems.
The senators have asked the president to make serious measures on the holding of the Loya Jirga (Grand Assembly).
The suggestion is delivered to president at a time that criticisms are rising over the US military mission and the weakness of management over the expansion and intensifying of war in country.
The senators said that war intensifying and the government’s wrong policies made them concerned, arguing that the Loya Jirga could restrain the deteriorating situation on which more than 50 percent of the senate members agree.
They added that the Loya Jirga should be called because it could bring changes in the high levels of government officials and decision makers.
They urge the president to take serious steps in calling Loya Jirga considering the condition of the national unity government.
The president’s office has yet to comment in response. Calling the Loya Jirga has been frequently suggested by the parliamentarians, senators and other politicians with the aim of put an end to the war and bloodshed.
