Taliban facilitators arrested in Kunduz

AT-KABUL: The National Directorate of Security (NDS) has arrested two Taliban facilitators in the northeastern Kunduz province.

In a media statement issued here, the Afghan intelligence agency said that its operatives arrested the two persons in Chardara district of the province. The two were identified as Samar Gul son of Ali Muhammad and Juma Gul son of Gul Muhammad. They were supplying weapons to the militant group in Chardara district of the province.

The NDS operatives also recovered heavy and light weapons from possession of the militant facilitators. The detained persons wanted to supply the weapons to the Taliban.

Meanwhile, the NDS operatives in another operation arrested a notorious militant Merdad son of Guldad.
